Julie Clifford Smail
Director of Scoop Lacrosse
Julie played lacrosse for Harvard University. At Harvard, Julie and her teammates won several Ivy League Championships and won the Division I NCAA National Championship in 1990. She was an All-Ivy Honorable Mention and was a top scorer for her team. Julie founded Scoop Lacrosse on the North Shore in 2010. Julie was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame at Pingree School in 2019. She also was the Head Coach of the 2022 Pingree Girls Varsity Lacrosse team which won the Eastern Independent League Championship.
Isabel Smail
Co Director
Isabel has played lacrosse since first grade and was part of the first group to go through the Scoop program. Isabel played club lacrosse for Laxachussetts and was the Captain of Pingree School's 2022 Varsity Team. In 2019, 2021, and 2022 her team won the Eastern Independent League Championship. Her senior season she led the North Shore in assists, was a NEPSAC All-Star Honorable Mention, an EIL All-Star, and an Agganis Foundation All-Star. She was also awarded the Varsity Lacrosse Standout Award. She now is a sophomore at Harvard University.

Ashley Smail
Assistant to the Directors
Ashley began playing lacrosse in kindergarten with Scoop. She plays lacrosse for Pingree’s Varsity team and club lacrosse for 3D New England. At Pingree, she has been on the Varsity lacrosse team all four years and is captain of the team for the 2024 season. Ashley and her Pingree team won the Eastern Independent League Championship in 2021, 2022, and 2023. During her junior year season, Ashley was named an Eastern Independent League Honorable Mention. Ashley is now playing lacrosse at Colby College.

Allie Smail
Pre-K Director
Allie started by playing lacrosse in kindergarten through Scoop. Allie also has been dancing since she was little. Along with her experience as a lacrosse player and a dancer, Allie’s charisma and positivity make her great on the field with the PreK girls. She has created a Pre-K curriculum that focuses on developing not just lacrosse skills, but also confidence, teamwork, and a love for sports. Allie is now a freshman at Tulane University.
